COVERED TOKYO, Bijutsu Techo, Park Hotel Tokyo and ART FAIR TOKYO co-host a
unique celebration
This one-night only event is the launch party for COVERED TOKYO, as well as celebrating the recent publication of the 1,000th issue of art magazine Bijutsu Techo. It is co-hosted by Park Hotel Tokyo, well known for its close ties to the art world, and ART FAIR TOKYO, Japan’s leading art market event. The Shiodome venue will be buzzing with all the current movers and shakers from the ever-changing Tokyo art scene.
A feast of performance, music and video
An array of leading artists will present work non-stop over the night, including a performance by art unit OLTA, live drawing by Hiraku Suzuki, and jazz piano improv from Dairo Suga, as well as DJing from the likes of L?K?O.
The walls of the venue will transfix visitors as they come alive with projections of video artworks by Sayuki Inoue, Hikaru Suzuki, and Hiroyuki Nisogi.
Featuring artworks exhibited from the COVERED TOKYO booth at ART FAIR TOKYO 2014
The hotel lobby will also feature exhibits of artworks from the COVERED TOKYO booth at ART FAIR TOKYO (March 7 - March 9). Visitors will be able to enjoy viewing cutting-edge art in a new kind of space, making the party a superb complement to a trip to ART FAIR TOKYO beforehand, or even a taster prior to heading to the fair the next day to see more. Don’t miss the chance to see the work of Shunsuke Imai, Emi Otaguro, OLTA, and Keisuke Koizumi in an environment like never before.
Special cocktails created by five unique artists and Bijutsu Techo, and top bartenders
